In-House – Chief Privacy Counsel – Senior Data Privacy Technology Lawyer​ –  multinational technology business – Amsterdam

Our client is a leading multinational technology business.  They are headquartered in Europe with an established legal function and are looking to hire a senior technology lawyer with a strong data privacy and protection background.

This role is multi-jurisdictional and you will support diverse operating businesses in a number of emerging markets.  You will have responsibility for data protection strategy and policies at group level and within operating companies.   This is a busy and dynamic group which intends to lead the market in this area.    Their dynamic digital strategy is key to the success of the business and there is significant investment and commitment at top Board level within the group.  This senior role is essential to driving forward the group digital strategy.  You must also be able to deal with anti-trust regulation in relation to data competition policy and show a pragmatic and practical approach.

This is a great opportunity for a UK or European qualified technology lawyer with a strong in-house background and with at least 8-10 years’ pqe to join a market leading business and to enjoy a great quality of life in Amsterdam.    You must have significant cross border data protection experience, direct experience of creating and rolling out a digital strategy, anti-trust experience and strong risk management skills. 

You will have the opportunity to work with senior stakeholders across the business and there will be a really interesting mix of work and the opportunity to develop this role to the most senior levels within the business.  We are interested in speaking to data protection specialists from any sectors across Europe.
