GCN TALENT: Head of Digital & Live Content

Our client is one of the world’s leading business to business media companies, connecting people through trusted brands and services.

The Head of Digital and Live Content will be responsible for all facets of content delivery and communication across one of our client’s key global brands, including how content is created, curated, produced, tested and measured. Leading and managing a team of Content Producers and Content Executives, both for live events and existing product directories, you will work closely with the marketing teams to acquire content from our client’s exhibitors to market an event. You will also work closely with brand leaders and Customer Insight Managers, event teams in Asia, Europe and South America and the digital team based in Amsterdam.

You will develop your knowledge of the industry sector to help craft the content. But, more importantly, you will be driven by the analysis of content consumption, both online and at live events, to provide users of our client’s website and visitors to their shows with relevant engaging content based on their feedback and needs. You will be working with the marketing and digital team to constantly test what content has most resonance with specific niches.

You will have a minimum of eight years experience in content creation in B2B markets with proven editorial skills and, ideally, experience in producing conferences and seminars. You will have the ability to understand what the audience needs to know and how they want to consume it. You will be able to lead and inspire cross-functional teams made up of internal stakeholders and a diverse range of contributors to deliver a shared goal. This position requires strong attention to detail and accuracy. You will possess strong presentation skills and be confident in public speaking.

A highly competitive salary is offered, together with a bonus and relocation allowance if required. The initial contract offered is 12 months as with all employment contracts in the Netherlands; this will then become a permanent role if both parties are happy.
