Data Engineer- Hilversum



Darwin Recruitment is urgently looking for a Data Engineer for a


successful Media company in Hilversum. This company is looking to


expand their team due to growth and success. As a data engineer


(Apache Spark, Java, Python) you are responsible for the extension


and optimization of the existing Spark platform and tackle issues,


anticipate to rising questions from the business and support the


technical research. You will be part of a team with three data


scientists, another engineer and one architect.


Responsibilities


  • optimize the blue print of the existing platform(s)


  • process new requirements into working solutions


  • signal arising issues and tackle them


  • work on state of the art projects, i.e.: logo detection,


    face-recognition, video analysis, artificial intelligence, and


    more.




What you can do?


  • strong background in Java and Python programming (object


    oriented & functional)


  • hands-on experience with Apache Spark (data streaming/real-time


    processing/storage)


  • strong Scrum/DevOps experience


  • up-to-date on Big Data technology trends


  • fluent English


  • creative, innovative, takes initiative, independent,


    out-of-the-box thinking, responsible, business sense


  • valid EU-working permit, NO relocation budget available
