Laurence Simons: Compliance Officer EU - Arnhem, the Netherlands

On behalf of our multinational life sciences client, we’re looking for a Compliance Officer EU.

Reporting to the global Compliance & Ethics Officer in the US, the Compliance Officer will work closely with key business and functional leaders and senior managers within the company. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining all aspects of the risk-based compliance program of our client’s business, such as country by country risk assessments, anti-corruption, data protection, competition law, conflict of interest et cetera. Furthermore, the Compliance Officer EU will be responsible for training and communications and company policies. The Compliance Officer EU will serve as the EU Privacy Officer and will work closely together with the Compliance and DP liaison and/or HR personnel.

To qualify for this position, you have successfully completed university studies of Law and state exam with above average results. You have at least 5 years of experience as a compliance professional in an international company, preferably in the life sciences industry. Experience in the US / in a US company is considered a big plus. You have demonstrable knowledge and expertise in transparency laws, regulations, or guidelines; for example, the standards pursuant to European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) and strong communication and personal skills. You are self-directed and results-oriented and have a flexible work attitude. Lastly, fluency in English is a key requirement and French and German are a big plus. Travel will be part of this position, approx. 20% of your time.
