Brand Director - Events




Great opportunity for an energetic and innovative Brand Director to join a global B2B events company, based in Amsterdam! £50-65k + bonus.


Are you an experienced Brand Director practiced in managing and implementing all aspects of the promotional mix? Do you combine a strong focus on results with a pride in continually exceeding customer expectations?


Our client is a thriving international events organiser and is looking for a Brand Director to lead the event brands and their accompanying products to meet the needs of customer communities and markets across China, India, SEA, Japan, Korea, Russia and Istanbul.


The role of Brand Director will have responsibility for making decisions to deliver a commercially successful and financially viable brand group, one built for the customer with a growing market presence, engaged community and outstanding customer experience.


Key responsibilities include:


Strategy and growth


  • Setting and delivering on the brands rolling three-year strategy, and the objectives contained within. Lead the brand management teams to deliver the strategy across geographies, platforms and verticals

  • Leading the Brand Managers to shape Brand strategies which look to seize new market opportunities, or grow the brand into adjacent sectors or customer segments

Excellence and innovation


  • Working with Brand Managers and Marketing to develop creative and new ideas to engage customers at and around an event. Prototyping new ideas and innovative approaches with an agile approach

  • Supporting on the interpretation of customer insight, based on industry conversations and data, supported by Marketing and Customer Insights to evolve event relevance and value

Operational leadership


  • Providing accurate and timely reporting of brand ROI, P&L’s, KPI’s and forecasts

  • Managing the day to day relationships with brand joint ventures, ensuring the overall brand is represented, connected and being managed globally across geographies

Building community and eminence


  • Building relationships with the brands most strategically important existing and prospective customers and the broader customer community: understanding market trends and sentiments and play these insights back into other business teams to inform how they sell, market or design the brands

  • Representing the brands by playing a leading role within the industry: attending and hosting events, meetings and conferences to increase learning and brand visibility
