Are you a Chartered Engineer with experience of Engineering Asset Management within the power industry? An Asset Management & Technical Advisor with substantial Power Generation industry, commercial compliance and engineering asset management experience is sought to oversee the life cycle management of the company’s extensive renewable industry assets. An important element of the role is working closely with project partners, who are responsible for the day to day operation and maintenance of the assets. The business specialises in Power Generation with Offshore/Onshore Wind, Solar and Thermal Power unit assets across Europe & the Middle East and is going through rapid growth to meet ambitious targets. This company established its European Head Office in London in April 2013 with operations across Europe and the Middle East and is 100% owned by a global integrated business enterprise which is taking a leading role in the environmental and infrastructure business field.
This business critical position will be based in either Amsterdam (our clients preferred location) or London, however should the successful applicant be based in London you would be expected to commit to 3 to 4 days a week in Amsterdam.
As the Asset Management & Technical Advisor your principal duties and responsibilities will include:
- Develop close working relationships with project partners to manage technical, construction and operational issues across the Netherlands portfolio to ensure the project delivery in line with the business plan.
- Responsible for ensuring that our clients Netherland’s subsidiaries and project companies comply with shareholders agreements/finance documents etc.
- Support for their Business Development activity to provide technical advice and support in a timely manner which contributes to project identification, project development and the successful award of new projects within the agreed development objectives.
- Work closely and report activities to the Management and Business Development team on a regular basis to ensure co-ordination of objectives and goals within a small business unit.
- Work closely with the finance team in the budget planning process and actual monthly review for each project, to assess accuracy of development proposals and annual and midterm budget forecasts.
- Work closely with the Asset Management team (comprising Technical, Planning and Finance sections) to define technical goals and targets for a portfolio Asset class. Responsible for developing and implementing via specific work streams targeted improvements to monitoring and assessment of Assets to deliver measurable earnings potential.
To be considered for this role you will have extensive power generation industry knowledge ideally from the Offshore Wind sector with sufficient gravitas to quickly establish credibility within the team and asset management project partners in across Europe. Ideally of Chartered Engineering status you will be experienced in a project development, project management or asset management role. An excellent business and financial acumen with experience of SPA, SHA, EPC and PPA contracts will also be required. The main business language used is English however a strong grasp of the Dutch language would very advantageous to assist in the development of strategical partners in the Benelux Union.
