BSN Senior School Music is a thriving, energetic and academically-successful department, where students of a wide range of ability and musical background are given as much opportunity as possible to explore, discover and develop their individual musical talents and interests. Our emphasis is on practical music-making both in the classroom and in the many ensembles and extension activities we offer our students throughout the year.

This role will cover teaching mainly at Key Stage 3 level (age 11-14), but may also include some teaching at GCSE examination level (age 14-16). Support and training in both the use of the departmental facilities, equipment and curriculum work packages will be provided, however candidates wishing to apply should also have the essential and a majority of desirable requirements below:

  • The ability to be inspirational in the leading of both singing and practical music-making in a classroom situation.
