Laurence Simons: Legal Counsel and Compliance Officer

Our client is a US headquartered company operating in 80 countries internationally, who are now looking to hire a commercially minded lawyer to join their business team and contribute to their success in the Benelux region to be based in either Amsterdam or Brussels.

The incumbent will provide legal support to the Dutch and other European businesses and ensure compliance with laws, policies and good ethics. Reporting to the National Director this role combines the excitement of belonging to the business team with the support structure of the European Legal and Compliance Team. You will be managing legal and compliance activities for Benelux.

You will be a fully qualified lawyer with at least 5 years of PQE, international commercial contracting and corporate legal experience. You will have experience in real estate law and in company law and have worked in Private Practice or in the legal department of a multinational. You will also have a track record of building productive cross-functional relationships. Fluency in English, Dutch and French are key requirements. Candidates without this, will not be considered.
