An “Outstanding” Special School based in Maidstone, Kent who have also been awarded Investors in People “Gold standard” – the first school to have this level at first attempt have 268 students and 190 staff. They are looking for 2 permanent ASD Teachers – due to an increase in pupil role in September.

All applicants must have recent experience teaching students with autism, ideally within a specialist SEN environment. Good to Outstanding primary teachers with recent experience teaching a pupil or pupils with more complex learning needs/autism in a mainstream school will be considered although the school are clear that the challenge will be difficult initially.

The class consists of seven pupils who range in age between 7 and 8 and have been grouped in accordance with their academic and social development. The school itself has been heavily invested in over the last few years and facilities are exceptional. A proven record of teaching SEN students with autism
